Plastics shape the future
The special show of the K fair

Plastics industry very satisfied with K 2016

After eight days a very succesful K 2016 is drawing to a close. In total 3,285 exhibitors were at the Düsseldorf fair ground and they were very lucky with around 230,000 trade visitors from over 160 countries. Some 70% came from abroad, more than 40% of all foreign visitors hailed from overseas. As expected, the experts from Asia accounted for the largest group among foreign guests, which grew yet again: nearly 30,000 experts came from South, East and Central Asia. Exhibitors unanimously confirmed that trade visitors were extremely serious about their business negotiations and showed a pronounced willingness to invest. Most impressively: the high percentage of international visitors and their very high degree of professional expertise, the K fair traditionally attract, was again higher than the K before. And a high number of top managers and company owners had come to Düsseldorf.

Ulrich Reifenhäuser, Chairman of the K 2016 Advisory Board, put it in a nutshell: “I have never seen such a vast number of decisive customers willing to buy at a trade fair before.” So K 2016 was again the ideal platform for presenting new technologies, workflows and materials for the plastics industry.

Also very well attend during K was the Special Show “Plastics shape the future”: This year individual theme days illustrated the impact plastics has on shaping modern living environments. Be it expert discussions and entertaining presentations or sports activities as well as exciting experiments, the whole programme of the Special Show attracted a big audience. Especially the Robokids from a school in Königswinter fascinated visitors from all over the world by presenting their robots in the disciplines “Rescue” and “Soccer”.
