28/6/2016 – Less then four months to go before K 2016 will open its doors for the world’s foremost gathering of the plastics and rubber sector. First insights into the programme of the fair exhibitors were now presented to global media at the K Preview end of June. At a panel discussion with the sponsor associations of the K, the path towards economic growth for the European plastics industry, but also challenges like implementing Industry 4.0 or how to prevent marine littering were widely debated. Dr Rüdiger Baunemann, managing director PlasticsEurope Deutschland e.V., also seized the chance to introduce the special presentation “Plastics shape the future”. The unique project jointly organized by the German plastics industry under the leadership of PlasticsEurope Deutschland e.V. and Messe Düsseldorf is offering a variety of information and infotainment. This time, “Plastics shape the future” will for the first time present theme days, so one whole day is dedicated to one single theme like e.g. “New Materials”, “Lightweight Design” or “Youth and Education”.
Previously Messe Düsseldorf was on an extensive promotion tour throughout the world. In his function as member of the Exhibitor Advisory Group, Dr Baunemann attended the media events in Prague (12 May) and Paris (16 June). In all events including K Preview, media response was quite positive.
